At its September 2026 meeting, the Teachers’ Retirement Board adopted the Notice of Election announcing the 2027 Election of Active Employee Members to the board.

The board consists of 12 members who are elected, appointed or hold office ex officio for four years. Their decisions affect all active and retired CalSTRS members.

This election is for three members of the board who represent active employee members and participants of CalSTRS and whose four-year terms would begin on January 1, 2028.

The nomination period is now open and ends December 18, 2026.
