Updates to the Board Elections regulationsOn November 13, 2025, the Teachers’ Retirement Board adopted amended regulations in Sections 24000, 24001, 24002, 24003, 24004, 24005, 24006, 24007, 24008 and 24009 in Chapter 1, Division 3, Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations and a new regulation in the form of Section 24003.5 in Chapter 1, Division 3, Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
Updates to penalties and interest regulationsThe amendments to the regulations address specific scenarios under which employers may avoid being subject to the assessment of penalties and interest and specify the criteria for determining the effective date of an employment agreement. They also provide clarification that interest will be charged on outstanding invoices for balances not paid in full within 30 days of the invoice date.
